I was never very good at RTS games but they had a profound influence on me when I first got into gaming. My cousin would play Quake and Red Alert all the time and they were the two forerunners that got me into computers and gaming, etc.

To contribute to the thread, I always liked CnC Generals, the Red Alert series, Starcraft, Warcraft 3 and Age of Empires. My favorite RTS ever is Battle for Middle-earth! The emphasis is entirely on combat and waging large scale warfare, a mindless, hilariously fun RTS experience.

C&C Generals was a pretty good game as well.

"Chex Quest" was what got me into gaming haha! I was like 5 and I would watch my sis play it on the comp all the time.. then I started playing and the rest is history!

i really think that starcraft should be the next game under the eGO name, its an amzing game and would be a greatexpantion in the RTS branch, also wouldnt mind running around with eGO in yet another game, Starcraft should be a definatly be considerd and soon.

SC2 is under the Strategy Division.

Age of Empires Online should get its own forum. It's not big enough to justify joining Strat yet, but I've seen at least 4 topics about it so far.
