Hey guys, So i just got a new comp with a 700 watt power supply. Turned it on, worked great, launched cod, 5 minutes in computer shuts down. Yet, i look in my side panel and i see that my motherboard power shows thats its on and so does my soundcard. So i launch up my comp again and it displayed no errors. Tried to run cod and same problem happens.

I notice that my PSU fan is not working and its brand new. Also, the PSU it self was VERY hot. So im thinking that the PSU shut off my computer because of overheating and that i should buy a new one? What do you guys think?

^Yes, time to rma it.

See if they'll just do the PSU so you don't have to send the entire PC back.

If the PSU fan never comes on, I'd RMA it like Stinky said. You don't want to take a chance on the PSU going out and taking the mobo or other parts with it.

I'd be curious as to what brand PSU you're using. If you have a lot of high-end components a good quality PSU is always a good idea.

By the way does anyone have some sort of guide on like good cable management?

Don't really have a guide but something that can really help out on cable management are those small pieces of plastic that you loop through and they lock together. I used that in my new build and I have only 3-4 wires that can be seen.
