Age: 24
Hometown: Nashville, TN
Gaming style: Rusher

I've always loved to game. I was a born prodigy, I came out of the womb wielding 2 things, a keyboard and mouse. It was that moment where i jumped out of the doctors hands and strafe jumped to my house only to find myself on the computer. When 1992 came around (5 Years old) my father bought me "Wolfenstein 3D" and said "Son, this is going to be a break threw in video game history" Instantly, and Naturally, I was addicted.

In 1996 (9 Years Old) I came across a game titled "Quake." On my first observation I did the natural thing and played single player for about 3 levels. On my route to the main menu to save the game, my eye came across a word I had never seen before, it was the main menu option "MULTIPLAYER". This is new to me... Is it because Quake delivered the first multiplayer option to play people across the world? Maybe. but now I'm curious and i need answers.

I clicked the button and a list showed of places to put IP adresses.

"IP Addresses?" i cried. "What in gods name are IP ADDRESSES!"

Dieing slowly inside from curiosity i did my research. I yahoo'ed Quake Multiplayer. *google unfortunatly wasnt around at the time.* And i came across a site and i will never forget it.

http://www.heat.net *R.I.P* (now adopted by Gamespy Arcade)

Heat.Net was a website dedicated to playing games over the internet. So i went to the Quake section and joined my first game.

Talk about amazement.

"I'm playing with REAL PEOPLE!!!" i screamed. "PEOPLE ALL ACROSS THE WORLD!"

being so young and being introduced to something so revolutionary and being one of the first. Instantly I became skilled at playing FPS's Online.

Growing up, I have joined over 1000 clans, played in over 100 leagues, gone to over a dozen LAN tournaments and... Lets just say I've been playing games online for a while. heck, the last single player game i played "and I'm not exaggerating either" was probably Diablo II back in the day. not counting Fallout 3. ;) I only buy games for multiplayer.

*EDIT* I also forgot to add, that when the default controls were arrows, i was using (edsf) and then games started making (wsad) default afterwards. I remember changing this when i was in a multiplayer game with one of my Dads students in highschool, and i was only 11 years old. I remember playing him then he said "are you using arrow keys? if so you need to bind them" and then after a few minutes of silence he then said "ohh yeah, and [t] talks." so he showed me how to bind keys in a console. That made me feel pretty awesome. :) Now every time i get a game i have to remap almost all of the controls. also, i remember making my first custom map in DOOM when i was 8 years old. I remember seeing some of my dads students in his computer class room playing doom. and i played it as well and at my amazement went screaming over to the kids *which to me at the time were OLD GUYS* and screamed "CAN I PLAY?! CAN I PLAY?!" I remember them telling me they were in the middle of making a map. i thought that was AMAZING because in my head that meant endless levels. So they showed me the basics and how to run the program, then i went home and started making levels.

Well, I'm older now. I've had my share of winnings, competitive play, clans, internet drama, fame, fortune, leagues, and tournaments. It's time for me relax, retire, and just play to be with people.

In 2006 I got my first DUI. All my friends were moving away for college so we decided to party hard. I made the Mistake of trying to drive home instead of calling my parents for help.

The end of 2009 (about 2 months after I originally posted this) I was convicted of another DUI. I was driving home from a LAN Party with a bunch of my friends and was pulled over for my busted taillight i knew nothing about. I had to serve 45 days in Jail. The worst part was not being in Jail, but waiting 5-6 months knowing you HAVE to go. Questions consumed my mind like a virus infecting my every thought. (Whats it like? who will I be around? Will my cellmate be nice? Am I going to get hurt? I'm too young, Why me? Why me? WHY ME? Where did I go wrong?) I had to sell my Computer and Car to pay for a lawyer. I haven't Played a game since.

My depression took control of me, and i started making dumb decisions. I was filled with anger and i took it out on eGO one night on the forums. I didn't care about anything, anyone. I was sad, mad, furious, scared. Noone knew what I was going through, So I did the only thing I knew how to do at the time, and what was to push everyone away. Issolate myself. Friends and Family. With my actions, I was globally banned from all of eGO. A banned that was not going to be lifted.

2 Years later, im back on track. Going back to school, I stopped drinking with the help of AA, friends and family. I asked eGO for forgiveness, and they were gracious enough to see pass my flaws back then and accept me as an eGO once again. I'm happy to be back.

With my story said, I think now it is safe for me to say...

I found my place (again).
Right here with you guys in eGO.

So add me to Steam, Lets talk on Vent, Chat on iRC. I would love to get to know you guys for im going to be sticking around for quite sometime.

Originally this was supposed to be a post for comedic value.. But with the unexpected twists in life that can be thrown at anyones direction at any time, It's turned more into a story of closure; a story of new beginnings, and most importantly, the story of fudpeX. So now, with my edited story, I want anyone in eGO to talk to me if they are going threw a hard time. I've been there. I can help.

Very Nice story Fudpex. I loved the part where you said you strafe jumped all the way home. I love your sense of humor. Looks like we both will be seeing alot of each other in eGO, because I also plan to stay for as long as I can.

thanks guys. :D I'll keep my eyes out for you guys so we can have a few games.

thanks guys. and hey, does anyone remember "Heat.Net" from my story? if so you are my new best friends.

Growing up, I have joined over 1000 clans, played in over 100 leagues, gone to over a dozen LAN tournaments and...

Commitment issues?

(Also, a dozen isn't enough. KEEP GOING TO LAN TOURNAMENTS D:)

Holy crap. If I were 6 years older, I could copy and paste this and it would fit my life perfectly. Good story, bro. By no means am I attempting to be rude here, but you inspired me to post how I got into gaming as well ;) I was writing it up in this comment, but I realized it was far too long for that.

I'm back in eGO, so I've edited my story if people were wondering where I came from, and or where I went. My story Isn't as funny anymore.

I disagree Fud. It's funny in this way....life has a way of throwing obstacles in your way (bad decisions, pulling away when you should be pulling closer, etc..) yet the human spirit has a way of "rebounding" and taking it all in stride. Your honestly about your life will inspire/make someone think twice thus changing their life (major or minor). It's not meant to be offensive but it's 'funny' how one's misfortune is always someone elses gain. I , too, have made those decisions and had a 'moment of weakness' ( I love Bif Naked), but I know of friends who have seen how I was and changed because of it, making their lives and themselves better because of it. I guess it's lifes humor.
Welcome back, glad to see you've learned and grown from your past. Here's to your future in eGO!
