Thoughts on HL Stats change

I am curious as to what everyone's opinion is concerning the HL Stats change. Personally, even though I understand the monetary reasoning behind it, I don't like it. I am fairly certain that the more avid members are disappointed by it also.

So long stats from as far back as December '07.

Nothing wrong with a fresh start once in a while. These are just games. Keep playing and you'll earn your bragging rights again. If that's what you really want. If all your playing for is your stats, your missing out on the fun.

You realize there's already a huge thread about this right?

I can see why people would be disappointed, its like having your title at a company removed. Instead of being Vice President the company decides to make everyone just titled "employee". Then nobody knows the difference between the people who work hard or not. In this sense, having stats pulled makes people feel like they are the same as everyone else, again, after hard work.

But the thing that we have to remember is that it saves us $100 bucks a month.

The only problems i have with it are critical kills losing points.
