I know this is an old thread but I play Heroes of Newerth with some IRL buddies of mine. In-game is : Ryuukuu. Feel free to add me ingame or on steam/xfire. I'm pretty decent at the game. Used to play a lot of DoTa on WC3 so its easy for me. I have like a 1600+ PSR and 1.5KDR.

Heroes of Newerth is not noob friendly at all and in a matter of fact, only players who want to improve and play at higher levels should even bother with this game.

You don't want to ruin other people's experiences by not improving and playing badly because people invest a lot of time in these games.

That being said I have beta keys to give out. PM me if you need one and only do so if you intend to take it slightly seriously.

I also tend to rage quit a lot when a scout kills me or I get stunned and 1 shotted by ultimate from Deadwood.

I try playing it, yet the learning curve is super steep so I'm pretty awful. Making it worse - I'm pretty sure I've never found a ruder community than the HoN one.

The DotA community is worse, but yeah HoN has terrible community.

That's what I figured, I felt that the community was likely so rough because of the long heritage back to DoTA.

Nevertheless, I'm all for finding other EGO'ers on here to explore this one. At 30$ its pretty cheap for a fun little romp (once you start learning some chars).

Set something up and we'll do it. The games are a bit long, so I can typically only play a bit during the week but I try to get on during the weekends some.

I'm torn on the idea of buying it - but 35 isn't so bad, and I could just trade someone the account later if I don't end up keeping her.
