Speakers.

Ok my lawn mower broke down so Ive been steadily running out of cash from that gold mine. But my dad is going to buy me a new one next week and I can resume mowing and making more monies. I dont have a set of speakers for my computer, I only have a Turtle Beach X-52.( not bad). And since my parents and my sister come and go at times of the day I thought I could buy some speakers so I dont have to have my headset on at all times.


Im going to make a boatload of cash next week and Im only gonna spend 50 and the rest is going into the bank.

Nothing over $50 please.

Also, what's the reason for buying new speakers...
What will you be using them for...

I see you've got a headset, which I was going to recommend first before reading that.

Well I know that doesnt include shipping my dad will pay for that, and since he wants quality audio for everything he says hell put an extra 50 in so I can buy a 100 set.

EDIT: Im wondering whether to get 5.1 or stick with 2.0. I have a desk where I could put the Sub underneath, center on top of the book stand right above my monitor, the right and left on the sides of my monitor, the problem is what am I going to do with the rear speakers. I dont have a wall behind me. Would you guys just put the rear's next to the ones on the side and just turn them in a little?

Yea, you could just throw the 2 back speakers in a 5.1 next to the front, you can even put them on the floor, while your gaming or watching a movie or what ever you're doing.
Personally if i were you, I'd go with the Logitech X-540, especially if you have an LCD monitor for the center speaker. I've got 2 of these one for each computer. Thanks Guy ill take that into consideration. Was wondering though, I do have an LCD and do you have to buy a monitor mount for it or do you just rest it on top of it.

I'm not sure with other set ups, but with the Logitech setup, its got a base so you can stand it on something, or you can pull the base back and it'll sit on top, you just tighten the base screw with a phillips screwdriver and stays in place. also the satelite speakers bases swivel for desktop use or for wall mounting.

Both have line-in remotes for volume and sound great. The Z4 would be better for a small room and the Z-2300 is better if you have a lot of space. The Z-2300 can be had for under $100 if you look around.
