as every normal day, i was looking on youtube for some fun videos, and, well, we all know that if tf2 gets a movie, it probably be an animation pixar-like stuff, well, i've found this typical "movie-cast-i'd-like-to-see" for a TF2 movie.

a TF2 live action movie? , at first time i was not convinced with the idea, but watching the fanmade casting, it doesn't look half bad!

(only problem is... we can't have exact same teams each side and that's the worst problem for a live action film)

so, here's the video

any toughts? ideas? better cast? (personally, the soldier doesn't really convince me )

see ya!

Jim Carrey as The Medic... That's awesome!
Ice Cube as Demoman... No. Samuel L Jackson. Yes!
Edward Norton as The Spy. No.
Mathew Fox is Australian?
Needs an autralian dude for The Sniper.
Will Ferrel as The Soldier... Are you kidding me?

A movie based on TF2 is a bad idea. Too much action for those poor movie watchers.
No good scenario. If we only base it on the game, It'll be boring.
Maybe, you see the actors say good bye to their mom and dad, or to their wives at the beginning.

yeah, that's the problem , it just doesnt fit, but jim carrey its the perfect medic, no doubt about it

I disagree. I now nominate Stephen Colbert for Medic. Both look like the class and are funny individuals, but only Colbert could make a labcoat and needles look awesome.

it's a valid propposal

any good ideas for Sniper and Spy? maybe a more fun heavy than the big show?

well for the sniper you could use crocodile Dundee! haha, but Jim Carey as the medic is awesome and I'm not to fond of will Ferrel he's kind of a dink! and how about the Govenator for the heavy? haha Just a thought! XD

agreed on the soldier, not really his kind of role.

now THIS is your soldier

MAGGOTS!!!

I honestly can't see them making a TF2 movie with actors, wouldn't make much sense.

yeah, but is fun to think which actors could do it.

if a TF2 movie comes out sometime, will be an animation movie, no doubt about it.:)

Some fixes...

Heavy: Jack Black
Sniper: Robert Downey Jr.
Demoman: Samuel L. Jackson

Robert Downey Junior could make a pretty good sniper now yo say so, but jack black doesnt have the size to be the heavy, he is fatty, but not big enough xD

well, they've yet to get 'meet the medic' and 'meet the pyro' out yet.

Vandall, i doubt they'd bring out a TF2 movie either. still, nice to speculate on any possible actors for the roles.

hmmm.... yes, Sgt. Hartman for the win :D

I actually agree with Artinz on the sniper. I also suggest Barry Pepper (Pvt. Jackson, Saving Private Ryan) for the role. Even though he probably couldn't an accent for crap, he just popped into mind while thinking about the sniper.

The Sam Jacksonage for demo? Best idea ever!

Heavy? Yes, it would have to be sum wrestler, but Bruce Willis? He's too american lol.

Pryo? Angelina Jolie? lol

Scout? Why not me? I can do a purty darn good impression, and I run track!

Engineer's a hard one. But it definately would not be Owen Wilson. He's too tall. Maybe, Charlie Sheen?

Spy? Daniel Craig for the win! Or Pierce Brawnson. Their apperances would automatically allow audiences to know they're spies. Just like Darth Vader and his german WW2 helmet.

But yes, a live action movie would just completely kill the Team Fortress series.

What about this question, if it were to be made by a major 3d movie studio, who would do it? I say Dreamworks, because Pixar already has The Incredibles, which the graphics of TF2 are partly based on. And they're both RED, which means Pixar supports RED too.

It's fun matching the classes with real-life actors, but I'd also have to agree that a TF2 movie would be best done by Pixar, who has an excellent line-up of movies made.

I love WALL-E and Up! XD

Up in 3-D was a joke and it gave me a headache. i liked it alot better just the regualr way and it didn't cost as much!
