Okay im finally going to be making some money soon. I figured I need about $1500 to get the system I want. Heres the specs. If you have any reccomendations on anything feel free to post it.

1. Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case- $170

In my opinion, there's no reason to stick with the S775 at this point. If your budget gives in, go the i7 route for arguably the best bang for your buck, or if you want a good price vs. performance ratio go with the Phenom II's. Phenom II X4 940 or 955BE are the best ones of that pack at this moment although I think AMD is coming out with 965BE. The Phenom II's rival mainly with the quad-core series and for the most part do a pretty good job at it, I'm very happy with my own 940-model. :)

I agree with this. If you plan on upgrading your CPU in the future, go with a newer socket. LGA775 has been replaced by LGA1336.

Well, 1156 and 1366, with 1156 being cheaper mainstream options and the 1366 being more expensive high end systems.
 
I would probably hold off on this build until the 5870's come out and the GTX 300 series comes out because all the 200 series cards will drop down. Then you could probably pick up a GTX 285 or 295.

Nvidias next line won't be out until LATE Q4 at the earliest.
 
Most likely i'll go with the i7. i had a bunch of my other friends tell me that just need to get the i7.
I was going to switch up these items.

Im trying to get everything set in stone now so i can write it all down and keep track of how much money i need. also should i go with watercooling with the CoolIT Domino or the v8 air cooling?
 
Well i would buy an i7 with that much money lol but i see that your buying a lot of extras like OS and monitors and stuff. The 775 are being discontinued so theres really no reason to buy them anymore. If you want you could always buy a Gateway FX computer and then just upgrade components on that yourself, they sell for like $1,100 and come with i7 920 and a GTX 260. It is a good buy IMO.

If you plan on building:

Get an i7 920 from microcenter if you have one around you for only $200. If not get it for $280 on newegg or something.

Get an MSI X58 Platinum for $198 with rebate off newegg.

Get whatever DDR3 ram you prefer, go with the 6gb sets though, they sell for under $100 which is good.

I recommend getting the Cooler master HAF 932 which is $150 and is amazing, has better cooling than the twelve hundred too i believe, it matches up though.

Get a Tuniq Ripper 1000w from newegg $90 with rebate, save some money.

Get an ati 4890 for $180 with rebate on newegg. (the MSI one OC to 880) This card is a lot faster and when crossfired it will play anything you want pretty much.

where are the rebates? like the ones that shows like $30 instant rebate or are you talking about like promo cards?

The rebates are right under the price tag. It says something like $40 rebate and it should be a clickable link where it brings you to the rebate forms and such. There is a little adobe sign right next to it. ($89.99 after $80.00 Mail-In Rebate pdf ) like that.

I wish Intel would stick with one socket on the new quad cores. I would have been much more willing to go with LGA 1366 if I wasn't aware they were introducing new sockets right around the corner.

At this point, unless you are on a tight budget, I recommend going i7 over Core 2 Quad, especially if you want your system to last over a year.
 
My quick advice, go for i7 and spend less on accessories.
Plus your PSU is way too much a Corsair TX 750 could handle two GTX 260's fine.
