TF2 and other games freezing
When I play any game, regardless if it's steam or not, my computer freezes and locks. If there was a sound playing, it will loop the sound and sound like a machine gun. Here's my specs.

Just a shot in the dark, but are you running the latest video & sound drivers?

It could be a number of things though.

Yeah, make sure you have up to date drivers, though frequent lock ups are commonly caused by hardware failure. Are you seeing any visual artifacting(defects) on the screen before the lockups?

Drivers and video cards need updates, just like your virus scan.

make sure sound drivers are up to date, sound cards are very notorious for locking computers up, even upon start up of the machine.
