Ok so ive recently started playing soldier and have become quite well with that class. I was playing the other day on Valve Maps as usuall and was on a good kill streak until i finally died. I ended up having 20 kills in 1 life as soldier and had 28 points total in that streak making it my 2nd highest points. Well when I restarted steam, my stats seemed to have been erased and was wondering if anyone else had this problem before.

lol wierd, that happened to me too when i was playing soldier, about a month a go i reset my stats manually because i had alot of time just from being in idle servers and messed up points that i didnt want in there, i got like 21 points on soldier then got off and they reset back to what they were before

That's happened to me a lot. I don't really understand why it happens but it does. I don't let it bother me that much though. All that matters to me is that I know it happened, even though I do agree having a record of it does give you a confidence boost... (thinks of his over 40 points as Spy record)

That has happened to me with a lot of different classes, I thought it was maybe because i had left my idler on by mistake, but if its a known bug, then that probably was it

No. But I'll keep my eye out and make sure that it doens't happen to me. O_O

ya i got 13 backstabs in 1 life one day then logged on another and it still said 9 =[. never happened since then though.

How are you guys reseting your stats? I haven't been able to find anything about it anywhere ;(

you reset your stats by going in options i think and you can change what stats are showed when you load a map and you can also erase them but if that isnt right someone correct me and sorry for misleading you.

just so you know when you reset your stats they are all gone forever, you start all over, including time played...

I think that if tf2 crashes, the stats do not save. Not sure though.

TF2 has been having a hard time saving stats as of late, ever since they implemented the update that allowed you to reset your stats.

They haven't really been able to fix it.
