Absolutely, that game fully embodies the term "epic".

The Vasari are my favorite race. However, the Advent are really good at support roles if you're in an alliance.
 
I think I prefer the Advent. It's been awhile since I've played because I've been wrapped up in TF2.
 
Fantastic game - just wish it didn't take eons to play a full match with 8 peeps.

I'd be up for a game sometime, but the time it takes for a match is long. I'd rather get two or three games of World in Conflict or CoH instead....
 
I enjoyed this game quite a bit, and loved the space battling, but it lagged like a mother on my old computer. Maybe one day I'll try it on the new one. I hated how if I amassed a huge fleet, it'd take a good... 5 hours for them all to align to hyperspace. And then they'd do it for each and every planet they had to pass through.
 
jumping to hyperdrive is pretty annoying sometimes, i also hate how the ai runs away to much
 
I played it a little, but couldn't get into it too much. Maybe I need to go through the tutorials again. . .
 
awesome game i love playing it and it does take FOREVER to play but theres always save and come back
 
I have one game going, I've been playing it now for like 8 hours total. It's crazy. Stupid pirates keep attacking me.
 
yea the pirates suck, when i play with friends i always try an put a bounty on everyone else and then they get real mad cause they cant ever get anywhere.
 
I like the game a lot, but the problem is that it takes so incredibly long to play a game. I just really don't have the attention span for it.
 
I love this game. :D

I remember the first time I played a game it took me somewhere around 14 hours cause I was learning as I went. X_X
 
Such a great game. Nothing is more epic than playing the largest system map (4-5 star systems, 100+ planets). That game took me about a day and a half to complete.

Vasari ftw!
 
Hmmmm Novalith Cannons, I remember building 3 of those things just so i don't have to take down the computers last 3 planets, man I'm lazy ;)
 
I thought this game was pretty good.
But like most have said, the length is just a big killer...
Also I don't know if they've fixed/redone the online part of it... I really didn't like the setup they had for it. Also games would crash too much.

If anyone might want this, I'll sell mine... haven't played it in probably a year now.

I realize I'm joining a 2 month conversation, but this caught my attention.

I don't have this game (yet) but I plan to get it sometime, do you have a link or something that could show this mod off? This sounds right up my alley, although so does playing it "vanilla."
