DOD using Wine in Linux

I spend most of my computer time in Linux, and have started occasionally playing DOD in Linux under Wine. I still prefer to play in windows, but it works okay for me using the newest Wine version ( 0.9.46 ) in Gentoo Linux and the binary NVidia Driver for X.

Does anyone else play using Wine? If so what have your experiences been?

I used it a couple years back, but only for basic Windows things, haven't tried it for gaming.
