Novint Falcon in GI JOE!?!?

Hey guys, I am watching GI JOE right now and I couldn't help notice that around 45min. in there is a scene where they are operating on a soldier and they are using a machine. I couldn't help but notice the EXTREME similarity between it and the Novint Falcon! If you see this movie, tell me if you notice this too, pretty cool find considering they're our sponsor! But then again, I'm not completely sure, you'd think they would have said that somewhere unless Novint themselves didn't know about it. Anyway, definitely something to look out for!

Hmm...I saw GI Joe a few days ago and didn't notice it the first time around, but I didn't really have full attention on the movie due to my constant laughing at the cheesiness. But that's for another thread

If I see it again I'll definitely look out for it.

I'll wait till dvd to rent it out. Looks actiony but from the reviews,trailers, and stuff I am not playing close to 10 dollars to see that movie. I rather pay the 1 dollar from the red box rentals in about 5-6 months

Personally i think the movie is going to have a bad plot. But i LOVE Sci-Fi movies. So i will probably see it eventually. ^^

There are a number of surgical robots out there, including the Davinci and others. I'm not sure if Novint makes interfaces for these robots (the Davinci used at the OR where I used to work had a 3D interface that you used your thumb and fore-finger to control).
Novint DOES make medical simulators:

so it is likely that what you saw was, indeed, a Novint product (I don't think they call the medical device a Falcon, but I could be wrong).

But yeah, I did notice it. I guess I didn't think Novint Falcon, but it is similar.

wow, it really did look like they put 2 white falcons together in that scene. Looking at the pic of a falcon & a pic the the machine Im pretty convinced thats what it is. not sure if Im allowed to post a screen of the movie here for yall to judge though

But The Goods looks great too.
Time to flip a coin.
And I am now seeing The Goods this week and District 9 next week.


Oh BTW they didnt film that cheesy movie GI n00b in Paris. Anyone who has been to Paris will know that Budapest (In Hungary where the filmed most of it) looks nothing like Paris. And no bridge is around the Tower.

(BTW I went to Paris for a week and Germany for 3 weeks, When I graduate Highschool I am going to Europe for 2 months to visit my fam. in Germany and to backpack for a month.

Yea, it looked a lot like a Falcon, its amazing they actually used a gaming device in a movie.
