fudpeX's Fallout3 Review

dude Fall-Out 3 is supposed to be post-apocalyptic Fall-Out 3 wouldn't be Fall-Out 3 without a ragged and torn up WasteLand.

I didn't say it shouldn't have been Post Apocolyptic. I said they went to far with it. And by to far, i mean it was boring and bland. about 80% of the games land was nothing but hills, dead trees, and rocks. They could have added more areas. More vaults to go into maybe, just more areas to explore than the endless nothing that it was. They say thats Washington DC? I beg to differ, washington DC has more than roads with a few houses on them, one small city, and a river.

Play the other fallouts, theres more cities, more towns. the towns were huge, with tons of houses to explore, business buildings, What happened to Driving a hummer? Wheres the Raiders Vs Tribes? Yes there were "Super Mutant" but where were mutants?

Fallout 3 was lacking A LOT.

and like i said this is coming from a guy who plays the fallout's, not someone who bought fallout 3 because it was new and looked cool.

I quite liked Fallout 3. But I agree where he says the wasteland got boring. All I really saw was dead/mutated stuff lying around on the plains, so I got bored at first since at first there is loads of walking to do so I quit. Although the AI wasn't too bad and I never really heard any music :\

But i also faced a super mutant early on in the game which kinda killed me since all I had was some grenades and a pistol. But that was just me failing.

But I kinda skipped the first two, so by the sound of it they were best, so I think I might give them a try. But also the add ons for fallout 3.

I vouch for this review!!!...the older fallout 3's were so much beter...i played fallout 3 for like 30 minutes and stopped of boredom

I concur, the older fallout 3s were better.

A 1/10 in the music section? Way too harsh. Bethesda actually did lots of homework on the music, and with a proper explanation, it fits absolutely perfect.

Although the music may not seem fitting, the science behind it makes perfect sense. All of the songs from the soundtrack originated around the 1940's and 50's. Back then, music was recorded onto 78 RPM Vinyl Records. These were known for their great sound quality, but had something that most people often overlooked: durability. The 78 RPM's were extremely strong, and could take a beating, and still play with their utmost quality. One could run a heftily sized truck over a 78 Record and it'll play fine.

Now we must look at nuclear bombs: They blow stuff up, and do a good job at it. Simple.

When the nuclear bombs fell on Washington D.C. and the country's surrounding areas, it is extremely likely that they destroyed most of the music storage mediums. CD's, Cassettes, iPods, whatever. You name it, the bombs probably destroyed it... With the exception of our beloved 78 RPM Vinyl Records. These beasts could easily survive the blast, flex their high-quality muscles, and spit on the corpses of all the inferior storage mediums that were too wimpy to survive the detonations.

Aaaaaand, since all of the songs featured in Fallout 3 were stored on 78 RPM Vinyl Records. It makes perfect sense that these songs were featured in the game.

SCIENCE!
