Michael Vick is with the Eagles

nice a new weapon for my team! I dont condone what he did but i believe he paid his debt to society and deserves a 2nd chance.
 
I am an Eagles fan as well. :)

I'm skeptical, because I don't know if he will be as good as he once was. But, he's worth a shot. :D
 
i doubt they got him to be a qb. probably some type of runner/receiver just like the phillies and pedro i think this is a good low risk move. unless he gets in trouble again..
 
lol i was doubting it and then with the handy eGO toolbar i have ESPN radio and bam the guy says vick signs 2 year with phil eagles lol
 
i think the commissioner already said he could come back after the 6th week. i might be mistake though..

what do you expect, hes a celebrity. Society over looks little things like animal cruelty and other vile crimes if you can play a sport or sing songs really well.

I was completely shocked when I heard the news while watching the Pittsburgh/Arizona game on ESPN. I'm glad that he finally got signed somewhere. He has too much talent to not be playing this year. Now as far as what position he will play, he'll probably be a RB/WR like swin429 said. Andy Reid (Eagles headcoach) already said that there won't be a QB battle for first position. So, I think McNabb already has that position on lock. I'm just excited to see what he can do and what kind of shape he's in.
 
I was surprised to hear about him returning. Just ridiculous, after what he did. He wasn't even that great any more when he got kicked out anyway, from what I remember.
 
I want Commissioner to strike down his chances of every being in the NFL again.
 
A jury of his peers convicted him, and a judge told him he should serve two years for his crimes. He did that. Reinstatement conditions in the NFL have been set for him, and as long as he satisfies those, I'm okay with him playing again.

I have a lot of respect for Tony Dungy, the former head coach of the Colts. He's serving as a mentor and spokesman for Vick's change in character. Dungy believes Vick when he says that he realized he has been doing wrong in the past, and wants to move on with his life. I find it hard to believe that after 2 years in jail, the man still has an urge to do what he did before. Let him make a living again.
