So is Counter Strike Source 2 in the works?

i say stupid, but w/e. i wouldnt mind buying it and trying it out. meh.

and it should still be user friendly, because as i recalled, source games are pretty much user friendly. even if you have a crappy computer.
 
If it is true I hope they do more than make a few new maps. Maybe some new guns. And new game types and such. If it's real I'll be stoked.
 
I don't understand why everyone hates the idea of a new game coming out...
When you play the most current version now, and it's already years old. Why not have something in the works that'll be much nicer, and hopefully as good if not better? I see no problem with that.

Lets say it takes... 2 years for this game to come out. Most of you guys will have new computers by then! If not, you won't be playing any of the new games anyways... what'll you be missing out on? :laugh: ...

I'd play it if it comes out. I enjoy new things from time to time... I'm getting burnt on CS:S currently.
 
I hope they don't waste their time with something as dumb as CounterStrike 2. They could actually being making something good like the last installment of Half-Life or a sequel to Portal.
 
They need to keep the game flexible for all the mods that spawned off of it such as GG, DM, ZM, Jail, Deathrun, etc. Else that can be the end of the game cause I mean CS is fun but mods add variety and uniqueness to the game.
 
zzzzzzzzz im down for a new CS if its GOOOD........the current source does need new updates and such but its been out for so long already i doubt they will put much time into. They dont make much money off source anymore, well like in terms of people buying the game.

I dont really care as long as the new source or CS they make is GOOOD AND LIVES UP TO STANDARDSS.
 
Yeah, I'm more in favor of updating the one we already have. It's five years old and maintains a large number of players, why risk losing that? The Source engine is gold and they can do many things without significantly changing the game.

No matter the decision I think we're good, this is Valve afterall.
 
Even if they were coming out with a new game, I think people always bash a game that is coming out to replace something they have been playing forever. Just the natural "afraid of change" kind of thing, like I was afraid of the new MMOs coming out while I was playing WoW and bashed the hell out of it, then I bought them anyways and had great fun.

They said nothing about it on the show, only that they are working on it. -_-
