Slim PS3 for 299

September 1 for $299 and €299?? really


EDIT: I found out that it will cost ?299 aswell, $299 = ?180 and with tax it should only cost around ?210. >_<

I might get one to bring to college, lugging the huge one from home would be troublesome. I sure hope this helps PS3 sales out a lot.
 
This is the opportunity I've been waiting for to jump on the Sony Train and get a ps3

This. I bought a Ps3 got all the games people were "raving" about, played them for a bit then realized I played through them and the multiplayer games just sat there because FPS games and others are pretty boring to play online for long periods of time.. just can't hold my attention, maybe because of no community around or it something. Needles to say it collected dust, then I took it back.

You just gotta get good games for multiplayer like, cod4 or waw, battlefield BC or 1943, killzone, littlebigplanet

So...unless Microsoft announces (today) that the 360 is getting a price reduction as well, the 360 (Elite) cost $100 more than a PS3, and the PS3 is only $50 more than the Nintendo Wii.

This is why I love competition. If there were only one gaming console manufacturer, we'd still be paying 599 for the PS3 (did we really pay 600 dollars for a gaming console? oh-ma-gawd)

Can't wait to see where Microsoft comes in with their new price system
 
I'm sorry but ever since I jumped into PC gaming, I've lost interest in Consoles.

PS3 still sounds good though, for Crysis 2...

But a PS3 for $299? HOT DOG!

I have CoD4 and WaW and going to buy 1943 on PC. If they come out for the PC, why get them on a console when the community/gameplay/skilllevel/modding potential/graphics is usually MUCH better on PCs, especially for FPS'S.

I had killzone and littlebigplanet but it still bored the hell out of me.

PS3 still sounds good though, for Crysis 2...

If your comp can handle it on the PC, get the PC version they are towning down a lot of the visuals on the console versions.

Looks silly.

I have the Regular old school 60 GIG ps3.

They dont' sell em anymore and it has every feature, It can go on the market for very good money.
 
i'll probably buy one, if only for the blu ray player on it. cuz then i'd also be able to play games on it if i feel like it. :D
