My AT&T Renewal has come and i'm so confused as to what the best phone available in my price range is.

I dont wanna spend more than 130$ on a phone. And i'm also debating on the iPhone, so a little input on the newer iPhones would be appreciated also. Thanks

the new iphone, and even the older ones, are still epic. imo.

The Old iphone can do pretty much anything that the new one can (with jailbreaking) even without jailbreaking they both pretty much run the same. To be honest though I am NOT a fan of AT&T I have the sprint simply everything plan which is 99.00 a month before taxes with an htc touch pro. Below is what you would pay for the same things i have with an at&t plan with the iphone. Which is 166.96

Plan: Nation Unlimited $99.99
Features: Data Plan for iPhone $30.00
iPhone Text Messaging Unlimited $20.00
VoiceDial for Postpaid $4.99
Detailed Billing - Nation $1.99
AT&T Navigator(SM) for iPhone $9.99
166.97

Also the New samsung instinct is pretty much an iphone just on sprint....

P.S. As Soon as apple and at&t's contract is up and the iphone is available to different companies I will get one.

Wow.. Well unfortunantly i cant switch companies as my family is with AT&T but if i had the choice i think i'd still go verizon. (most of my friends have verizon)

AT&T doesn't cover my area, but I'd get an iphone if given the chance. I have an ipod touch, and it's still pretty epic as long as I have access to wifi ;)

Verizon also does charge a little more than both sprint and At&t on the normal (not iphone) plans(about $10 more) but, Verizon's service is excellent I have a Verizion wireless card for my notebook and i always have 4-5 bars. If your stuck with at&t because of your family consider getting an iphone family plan you do save a lot. Its about 250 I think (might be wrong) for two iphones on an unlimited family plan(which is about $70 savings) and then its only $10 per extra line (max of 4) so if you can get your whole family on an iphone family plan you can save a bit.

From what I've heard and from my personal experience, the iPhone has been the highest quality touchscreen smartphone released. People I know with Storms and others always complain about their phones.

You can get an iPhone for $99 from AT&T, look into that.

Its not the cost of the phone that will get you, its the cost of the service plan....so the Iphone only maybe $99 but its $66 dollars more a month than everyone else.

I just left Sprint. I had a HTC Touch first generation but I was on a family plan and it was 80 bucks a month for just calls and texts. I was considering renewing for the Palm Pre and getting their unlimited plan that is 100 bucks which is a great deal but after use with the phone I didnt quite like it. There were the other Variations of the HTC phones plus new ones coming out but I wanted to move past Windows Mobile. I still have the phone tho to play around with.

I went with the 16gb 3Gs Iphone with their lowest plan of 39.99 for 450 minutes plus the roll over. I do not make many calls and the minutes roll over which is great. Then 30 for the required data plan for the iPhone. 20 for the unlimited text because I do text a lot.

So its 89.99 with tax is around 104.

About the same Price I would pay with Sprint for everything Unlimited but I work for a company that has discounts with AT&T. From what we were told not on the iphone plan but I guess that means the data because on my invoice the individual minute plan does have the discount.

I went with the iPhone because of its ease of use. Has the internet. Video. Audio. Same if not all features similar smart phones have in other carriers but its how you end up having the experience with the phone.

I am glad I waited to get it at an good price phone wise.

It all depends what features you are going to use that the carrier and phone have available to you that help me decide the choice in carrier and phone.
