falcon help

so today i set up my Novint Falcon, but i cant get it to work in game or with the NVeNT software

the falcon test program responds to movements an the falcon responds to the program, but i cant get it to work with any thing else

any help would be greatly appreciated


system:
Windows 7 RC
4gb ram
3.5GHz dual core AMD

you should try downloading our latest drivers off our home page under the support tab, and don't run N Vent when you run any Steam games. If that doesn't help, please contact customersupport [at] novint [dot] com. thx, tomnovint

so I installed the new drivers, but now when ever i try to start a steam game it wont work, it says the "launching tf2/css/ins" etc but the game wont load

also in task manager it says the hl2.exe process is running

when i uninstall the falcon drivers the games work fine, so the problem is definitely the falcon and not steam

you have to end task that hl2.exe


and one quick question, can you move the falcon around on you'r desktop?

hey reflex99, you might need to reinstall steam and the Valve games. The types of problems you're describing seem like it might fixed by that. we are just about to release our F-Gen drivers that will let you use the Falcon as a mouse in any application.

ah, i was going to say if he could at the moment, it would have probably installed some mouse drivers from the internet if he plugged it in before he installed the drivers

i got the falcon to work on my vista based laptop so i think it might be Windows 7 that is conflicting with the falcon

ill try reinstalling games later
