I just spent 1,700 dollars at newegg yesterday. hopefully i will have it built by this weekend.

Nice build. It sure is going to be a beast. I'm going to build my soon too. Still deciding if I should go with i7 or just get the quad. I see that you are getting the V8! Let me know how that goes once you have that set up. I plan on getting the V8, but reviews says that it works but also does not and that its not necessary so not sure about that product yet. Keep us updated with lots of pics.

Yes my order shipped out today (8/19) . i got 2 day delivery so i should get it by friday. But for sure i am going to take lots of pics. and i will let you all know how it goes.

Yes i got the V8, definitely going to overclock it to at least 3.66GHz . I hope it does the job.

OVERCLOCK AN i7? For what? LAUGHS? i7 technology is in no way maximized BY ANY GAME or APP out there except for HIGH END CAD Rendering Software. You don't need to OC anything on that rig.

But hey good luck!


Why VISTA? Why not download Win 7 RC, and have a great OS for the next year?


Anyway, great components, shoot some pics!

I got vista 64 because it came with a free coupon for win 7 upgrade. best $170 dollars i spent for a new OS. cant wait till it comes out.
 
O yes i am on my new machine as i type. It all went smooothhhhhhh..... Everything work first try. I am in the middle of updating all drivers and windows updates. it is taking forever.

ill have my pics up here as soon as i am finish with everything. check back soon.

Sweet! The next time I see this post, I better see pictures, pictures, pictures. And btw how is the i7 working? Getting an i7 means getting all parts that is compatible with the i7 which also means more money. Not sure if I should just go with the quad :glare:

Real nice rig you got there man. I just got done with my first build not too long ago. The i7 920 is an awesome cpu. Quite a big step up from my old p4.

thanks man. yes same here. i had a e6600 duo. it was pretty fast. but the i7 is too fast.
