Vent Banned?

I was on Vent, and my internet was acting up, which normally consists of annoying me and disconnecting as soon as i want to click a link, talk to someone or play a game, and when my internet came back, I was on the banned list. Could someone please explain to me why this happened?
EDIT: I'm not banned anymore, perhaps it was just my internet lying to me...
