Novint Falcon

I installed the drivers off of the novint website, but for some reason the recoil and the vibration effect is not working, anyone with a falcon help please? :crying:

Here's a complete list.

Is it plugged in?
Is the power supply plugged in?
Did you install "Newton's Monkey Business" and run N VeNT?
Did you run N VeNT again to make sure there's nothing else to update?
Did you download the "Novint Falcon Drivers" off the support page?
Did you reboot your computer?
If the light is red, pull it back all the way and push it in. This calibrates it.

Any more problems after you've done all that?

Well i play Counter strike source, day of defeat source and team fortress 2.

try reinstalling the whole thing and then try run all games you got that is accepted
with the novint falcon

Which would be TF2,CSS, and DOD:S, correct?

CSS doesn't work yet, but soon. TF2 should work right off the bat if you've completely uninstalled the old drivers and reinstalled the drivers from our website. DOD:S works, but to get the recoil, you need to add in a script file which you can find how to do from our message boards. customersupport [at] novint [dot] com can help if TF2 isn't working for you. thx, tomnovint.

well im going to try un install the whole thing then re install it and get the drivers and the script file for DOD:S Thank you Tom and thank you guys for helping too

Yesterday I ran my steam client after quite some time and it started downloading an update for CSS.

When I scrolled to the bottom of the page it said "Novint Falcon now enabled by default".

Start up your steam client, it will start updating CSS on its own. Then try the Falcon and see if it works.

Yeah my comp is down so i wont be able to play with my falcon anytime soon just love how things turn out

also ive heard that the falcon now works for CSS and do you NEED n vent to play the steam games with the effects? or just the drivers

you should make sure that N VeNT is not running while you play any Steam games (and you will get all of the effects)
