No Hardhat for Engineer (Glitch?)

I ran into a glitch yesterday on 2fort Instant Respawn. I decided to taunt as a engineer then to my surprise he wasn't wearing his hardhat. I asked my team mates if I had it on but they said yes. So maybe it was just a client glictch.

Enough chit-chat, here's some pictures. The second picture is where I asked the Heavy but he said I had it on. :crying:

yeah, only for red, blue has a hat. I thought it was because i installed the lumberjack skin for them.

EDIT: And it is probably a similar thing to what was happening with the Scout before the Classless update.

Is that just joking the glitch or is it actually a hat? If so, how do you unequip the default hat?

there IS a hatless hat for engi, but this is just the some glitch as the scout that was a while back,

One of the hat unlockables IS 'No hat'.
Chrome Dome.
(Can't just take off current hat)

Again, this is not a glitch. It's an unlockable headware item for the Engineer.
