Graphics card woes...

With Linux Mint, all you have to do is boot to the CD (the majority of the time). It'll set up and load itself. Once in a while, depending on your hardware, you might have to add a line to the boot, but usually it just runs. If you still have the same errors, you know it's hardware related. If you don't, it's time to reinstall your OS. I'm leaning toward it being your OS, but you'll know for sure if you try a Live CD.

I've been watching this thread, so if you have any problems booting to the CD, I'll help you.

You'll need to burn the Linux ISO to a CD. If you don't have a burner that can burn disc images, here's a free one that's pretty simple, but works. Link

Ok I reinstalled the drivers and it is work I am going to try to enable sli.. Nevermind got two bsod's

So do I just use the links rar file to create the image or do i need to unpack it first. And do I need to creat a hard drive partition?
 
On the Linux Mint page, look for the direct download link, it's in the center of the page. The file will be in .iso format. You don't have to unpack anything, just use the free iso burner I linked to burn the iso to a CD. You don't have to partition anything, the Live CD doesn't use the hard drive.
 
You could have bad/dying memory which can cause these kinds of things download http://www.memtest.org/#downiso burn the ISO to a blank CD-R put the CD in reboot you may have to hit F8 in your BIOS and run memtest overnight and let me know if you get any errors.

If it isn't memory this may sound a bit extreme but the fastest way to fix this issue is to backup and format/reinstall Windows you can go about trying to replace DLLs reinstalling drivers etc for months without luck . This process rules out hardware issues.

EDIT: Mint might have memtest in the ISO as well.

Sorry, I was next door talking to my neighbor.

If you're talking about burning the disc, just use that free ISO burner I linked. Where it says drive, just make sure it's set to your cd burner, then browse for the ISO you downloaded and click burn.
 
This is proally not a normal idea but I had a similar issue when I re-built my 939 system. I put a 7900gt in it to play cs:s The card wouldn't install. It would only "Half install" meaning not all the options worked on it. Many many many hours later and 3 pci video cards later, and at least 10 re installs of windows xp. I thought the 7900gt was a dud. I bought it used off a forum I visit.

Just for curiosity I removed one of the 80gb ide hard drives and tried the video card. Everything works perfect now. Turns out the bad hard drive had a few bad sectors. These bad sectors where causing the video card driver problems. I would BSOD just like you did. But mine would only work fine for like 5 minutes. Also the nvidia control panel would not install. The card would install and show up in device manager, but the control panel would not work.

Also do you use a driver cleaner program when you re-install/update your drivers?

If you don't think your video cards are the culprit, something is. I would def start at the PSU. Have you ever checked your rails?
 
I bought my system brand new but that hard drive thing hits home cause I used to get kernel in page dump errors on the BSOD which it related to a bad harddrive but chkdisk has come bakc clean...

Ok I used the program let it sit for 3 hours and no process still says starting to write iso image 0/67somthing mg's. Umm any sugestions
 
It shouldn't take that long. I have an extra Ubuntu cd I can send you. If you'll pm me with your address, I'll get it in the mail tomorrow.

Are you able to burn any CD like a music CD? It's sounding more and more like you have a problem with your OS.
