Hey guys, my friend has an HP netbook which has an unusual User Account error message. Whenever we try to get into User Account originally, it was to get rid of 1 account because it was her ex-bf's account. I ended up calling up my friend about the issue & was told to go into safe-mode (why I didnt think of that is understandable). She had 2 accounts on the netbook (1 was hers, which wasnt passworded, & the other was the ex-bf, which was passworded). I knew immediately what to do, but when I tried to go into User Accounts under reg mode, it gave me the following message: The User Account is not recognized. Please restart and go to User Accounts. Also I should let you guys know that this same message appeared on both the passworded account & the non-passworded account (which I found rather odd). I told my friend about this issue and he was stumped about it (seeing as hes a system admin guy). I know the following info wont help much, but I felt it necessary to say it: the netbook is a rental and also when I went into safe-mode, administrator is there, as well as the account which was originally passworded, but is no longer passworded, however the other account doesnt appear in safe-mode. Both the original passworded account & administrator are obvious computer administrator accounts, but the 2nd account isnt. That may have something to do with it, but I havent studied up on the OS side of the latest windows in a while, so im not so sure bout that. Btw, her netbook is using Windows XP Pro; figured you guys would need that info. Any & all help is very much appreciated!!
