Hey all, with a few new recent releases, I thought I would make a thread summarizing some of the bigger games now supported by the Falcon

Half-Life 2, Ep1, and Ep2
Portal
Team Fortress 2
Day of Defeat: Source
Left 4 Dead (just released)
Counter Strike Source (just released)
Battlefield 2 (will be out officially next Tuesday)

out soon:
F-Gen drivers (which lets the Falcon work with any game)
COD4, our first F-Gen game
Battlefield 2142
we'll also look to do Insurgency quickly with F-Gen, given our EGO ties.

thanks
tomnovint

Any ETA on the F-Gen Tom? I am aware that the alpha/beta's will be ready 'soon'. Though i don't know when i will be able to toy with them, nor do i know when the full F-Gen will be released.

Thats awesome, thanks for everything Tom! You really are the coolest CEO/Company i know, apart from Valve!

Wow, thats an awesome catalog of games that the Falcon works on!

right now we have a blue-screen issue when you uninstall the drivers (not that anyone would ever need to uninstall lol). That's the hold up with the alpha. The alpha will have all the basic functionality, so as soon as we get that issue fixed and get it out, it will be useable for all games. From that point, we're adding in a scripting system to add forces, a keyboard event reader (to better tell what is happening in a game), a guesture based input control scheme to control many aspects of games and applications, and a pixel reader to detect game state (so we can do the correct recoil on weapons, detect if there is ammo, etc). Much of that is close to being done. Probably a month or two from a good useable beta (might put pieces in for alpha versions too). We'll also include an update on N VeNT, our player/store (similar to Steam), and will add gravity compensation in our drivers which makes the Falcon stay in one place even when you let go of it.

thx, tomnovint

thanks for your post SeaNNN. I've grown to like your Miley Cyrus image when I see it ;) lol

Gravity support would be an incredible boost! The one complaint I have about the falcon is that when not in use, and using the pistol grip, the front grip-dock sinks down. I worry that it would get damaged like that, particularly in a tight game space like mine.

I have to rearrange my set up dramatically when i want to use the Falcon. When i know i won't be using it, i stow it on top of my computer tower. As temporary as it is, space and storage are my biggest with the Falcon.

When the Falcon can be used as a mouse in windows without N Vent running, I'll no longer have any need to put it away when I'm not gaming. I'll be able to make it a more constant feature of my desk top.

This makes me want one more, hehe.
Also, a question. I'm sure this has been answered 1000 times before, but the Falcon is compatible with Windows 7, right?

Cool Malid - yep, we're headed that direction where it can really replace the mouse entirely.

yep, RedFlag, works with Windows 7, though can be a little touchy on the installation. We're preparing a Windows 7 tip sheet. thx, tomnovint
