So I've been watching the walkthrough of Batman Arkham Asylum on Youtube, and I gotta admit, that it is most EPIC.

The DC game fail streak has finally been lifted, I got to play the game in a demo at Walmart, and I gotta say, it REALLY makes you feel like you're batman. the graphics are amazing, the music really sets the mood, and the voice work is phenomenal (Of course Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were awesome, but major props also goes to Steven Blum for the various voices he does.)

Unless something goes violently wrong by the end of the game (walkthrough is only up to when you just get out of arkham), then I'm officially nominating this as one of the best games of 09.

I'll definitely check it out. But you didn't mention the game play in your post. Is it nice and smooth gameplay? Just because it has good graphics and above average voice acting doesn't make it a good game.

Actually yeah, from what I played when you fight you actually feel like batman. He has some really solid counterattacks, and some great combos. You really feel like a skilled fighter beating the crap out of a bunch of other unskilled guys.

Then theres detective mode...whcih allows you to pick out opjects, people, and stuff through walls. Theres even a little clever bit where you gotta follow a persons alchohol vapor trail...

And the game is so BIG. Its just amazing...

Thanks. I've been looking at some reviews, and it's definitely a game I'm going to buy.

I'm definitely going to get this game. I've been playing the demo over and over and can't get enough.

The fighting and stealth aspects of the game are just so satisfying. :)

This game got a 9.5/10 from Game Informer Magazine. I think i'll definitely check it out :)

I love this game! I just beat it and I am going around, collecting all the Riddler stuff now. I do wish it had 'reset' the island (for lack of a way to say it without ruining any plot, I basically wish the island was the same as when the game started) and removed all enemies (or made an option to toggle them off) after beating it, to make it easier to search. x.x

It's tempting, but im hesitant from all the other failed super hero games. Also since PC was just a afterthought im guessing the game wont last as long/be a bad console port (hopefully not)

I downloaded the demmo about three weeks ago, and it was incredible. you really need to check it out!

You definitely need to give the demo a try. It's not just another typical super hero game.

Well will there be any online play? If not i'm definitely getting it on the Xbox 360

I started playing it last night and so far it is pretty fantastic. Gameplay is solid, graphics are great, sound quality is pretty good. The voice acting is surprisingly good, but I don't like batmans voice as much as the rest.

Also, he is a wall of meat...there is no way he could actually fit in the vents. :D

I got the game. Played it about halfway through and got tired of it. I had yet to meet any real challenge while playing on Hard difficulty. I would rate it a 7/10. Honestly, it's just not THAT fun. But I guess if you like this kind of thing, then go ahead. I'm more of a multiplayer guy than single player guy anyway.
