I'm quite the Halo fan and I've had alot of time playing Halo 3. Now with ODST coming out very soon, sometime is September... Just wondering if anyone here is planning to get it? would be nice to know some eGO members would play it and would be great if anyone has Xbox live. I'll be getting it of course and looking forward to playing the new 'Firefight' mode :P

I'm on the fence about the game. Bungie has disappointed me before with the depressingly bland Halo 2. I'll wait for some review to hit before I decide.

Never heard that one before...

...anyways, I plan on getting it even though I thought Halo 3 was mediocre.

I was thinking of pre-ordering it since you get a exclusive character (Sgt. Johnson I believe) to play on but..
No money :(

nah i prob wont get it...ill just borrow it from my friend when he gets it...haha

I'll probably play one of my friends copy and see if I like it before I buy it.

If there is going to be a follow up to one of my favorite FPS's then there better be a single player campaign at the very least on par with the original. Halo 2 failed to deliver on that premise. Sure it included online play...but overall it was bland and dull experience.

Well here you go, I'll second it.

Halo 2 killed the entire series for me. The original was great, everything else failed to step up.

I could never get back into halo after the second one, haven't even played the third one. Reviews on ODST would have to be excellent for me to buy it. Otherwise im getting arkham asylum for my ps3.

I'd probably like Halo more if they ported it to PC.

Halo 1 has been out for PC for a few years now. I think it came out in '03.

Halo 2 is also out, but alas, Microsoft decided to make it Vista only. However, it can be modified to run on XP.

And yes, it is much better on PC.

Seems like there are a lot of mixed views about this game. What I've seen so far, I'd say it looks like it could be a great Prequel for Halo 3. I'll look forward to playing it, if I'm correct they've change the Halo 3 Engine? might just be rumor, would be nice though.

Can't wait for Halo: Reach though.

It's not a prequel. Halo: Reach is a prequel. This takes place during Halo 3, hence the name Halo 3: ODST.
Anyway, no dual wield? Extra visions? Firefight? Silenced weapons? recon armerz lolz? GREAT!

I don't see how Halo 1 could have killed the series and been great...that was a fail. Anyway, I don't hate Halo. I just prefer other games.

Edit: I must have some kind of mental illness that doesn't tolerate errors...am I running Windows Vista on my brain? There are too many errors.

To be honest, I think Halo: Reach is one main reason for me buying it. Halo: ODST taking place before Halo 3 seems good. Yeah playing as a ODST will have some gameplay changes I'm sure. Still Halo: Reach seems like the main thing here. I'm a huge fan of the Halo novels.
