Please, stop using the BB. Extinguish a team mate today.

Compression blast is the only reason pyro is worth playing IMO. It's also the only knockback, stun, speedup or slowdown that should ever have made it into the game. If they keep adding more, I swear people will leave in droves.

Edit: Reading through this thread, I kinda have to agree with Cheez. It's one thing to debate the worth of a game feature, and another thing entirely to belittle other players. Sometimes people don't read the patch notes b/c they don't play every week. Now go enjoy some friendly TF2 goodness.

This thread should be locked and any topic regarding Backburner and Compression blast should be discarded.

I'm actually surprised this has been up for so long with the type of comments made here. You guys don't have to state the obvious of how the game was designed, and making degrading comments to the way people play is not what we do here.
 
As a pyro I never use the back burner I did at first and quickly learned it was junk in comparison, that CB is way more effective than back burning crits.
 
If there's map with good ambush spots I use the BB, otherwise I just don't play pyro. :P

Actually, I think it was the Pyro update because they created the Backburner and it needed some kind of drawback/Flamethrower needed some kind of boost.

Could be wrong though, so don't quote me on it ;)
