PSP Go!

As some of u may know there is a hole new PSP coming out its called, well, PSP Go and i have been reading about it and it says that i doesnt have a slot for disk games and the only way to put games in it is to download them via PSN, but i also saw PS3 Games played on the little thing, like fat princess and all that so i was wondering if u vould download PS3 games into it or u can only play them via remonte play :confused1::confused1:

But For those of u who didnt saw e3, the PSP Go is a more small and lighter PSP and it has a slideable screen that hides the buttons, heres a pic:

Its screen is a little smaller than the original PSP but its more brighter, also the screen resolution was improved. But every thing has a price, right? well ur right ans as i mentioned earlier, its so small it doesnt house the disc deck so u can only upload games via PC, Mac or PS3 witch is a little bummer and an advantage for me since i dont have to stand up and go to the nearest store and buy the game, but its a bummer for me since my parents have only one american credit and devit card and they use it rarely for important stuff, let alone buy games with it so ill have to go and buy PSN network cards every month to keep up the games.

So besides putting the answer to the first question, post what are ur thoughts about the PSP Go! and would u upgrate to it or stick to ur normal PSP.

I think the non-ability to use existing UDM game discs will fail this handheld.

All the PSP games in your library cannot be played on this, you have to re-buy them? fail-o-rama

It's a neat idea, but Sony is (i think) re-designing the PSP too often; yes this latest one looks neat, but no disc based game support? And I read the internal memory (which cannot be upgraded) only holds about 9 games. And this is not counting any movies, videos, music, or photos you might want to keep on it. And it's as much as a 360, wii, and almost as much as a PS3. :huh:

Yeah but I also read that in the PSN site ull have a bank like space were u can store all ur games and echange them for the ones insode the PSP Go!

i think sony is going to allow the ripping of umd games into the psp go...
honestly i think that's a great idea! i wont have to lug around a bunch of UMDs!
but hopefully they do allow the pspgo to rip umd games... if not, then thats a bag of fail

I loved my old PSP. I sold it 1/2 way through my freshman year in college because I got bored of it though.
I don't think that one looks nearly as good as the original/others. I don't like the idea of a sliding screen at all, or the fact that you need to download the games etc... Can someone say "account hacking" ..?

I predict this won't be a very successful handheld. I think the current handheld looks better than this and is just fine.

If anyone has an old PSP that's in really good condition PM me. I'd be interested in a month or so.. Old games need replaying

Fortunately i dont own a PSP so its gonna be pretty good for me but for those who own a PSP may hate it and i would understand why but we need to accept it, its gonna sell a lot.

I have a PSP, but I traded all the games since I never played it. The store actually said they only give $20 for PSP trade-in's so I just kept the PSP. Honestly, if this does well, hopefully they have a program to trade in original PSP's so you can get it a little cheaper. If it does well and they offer something like that, i'll probably pick one up. I like how this thing looks.

Reading the OP hurt my mind...I have some kind of mental illness where I can't read internet speak.

For people who don't know how the PSN works:
As far as I can tell, 5 PSPs are authorized to download the games 1 account buys. It's like iTunes PlayStation.

To shorten things up, I present the PSPGo's features!

-Controls slide out from bottom(yay)
-No UniversalMediaDisc(UMD) slot(boo)
-16GB of internal memory + use of a memory stick duo(yay)
-Same old internet capabilites, so you can shop from your PC, Mac, PS3, or PSPGo!(yay)
-Possible playing of PS3 games(???????)
-Possible attachment to download UMD content...my suggestion.(I hope so)

In short, if the last one happens, then OF COURSE I'll want one! It'll be better in many ways!
If else, no, I love my UMD games.

As some people may think, yeah it may suck since people arent gonna sell all their games and PSP to buy a whole new one with an online virtual library.

But it may succed since u wont have to bring with u all games with u, but eather ways im gonna buy it since i allways wanted a handheld not made by nintendo and i was anccious for online bought games only for a while.

It's the same online virtual library! Just get a couple 8GB Memory sticks! PSP has the same online store! I would know, I downloaded MGS1, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?, and Patapon 2. My brother has these and Work Time Fun, Flow, and FF7. All downloaded from what will be available from the PSPGo network.

People with bad internet should not get it because if your trying to download a 1gb game your gonna take hours downloading it.
