Blackmesa Is Based On The Original Half Life, there isn't a white Mesa I think...

Nice. Blackmesa is the #1 reason I play TF2. A bunch of great players on there.

If I understand correctly, this 'map' will be a new level added on to the current map? Will it be below 'A', or replace it?

ctf basicaly has the lower "A" area of cp changed...the upper area is almost completely intact. one set of vents and secret room have been blocked off though. the iron horse spot may be removed after this alpha test.

dropping down to a no longer hurts players now. the lowering platforms do not go up and down either. they always stay in the lowered position.
