Today (on my b-day ) ... when i tried to get into CS:S steam could not start it for some reason.. so i rebooted my PC .. then CS:S runned.. but when i join a server either the game crashes or it terribly lags showing a problem in console related to connection....
pls help

... same thing happens with INS ... I have only one plan which is using the recovery thing that can put the PC in an earlier point...

Might as well try a system restore.

yeah i did it... .. my pc crashed after the sys restore and the screen had some crazy colored boxes and the systems were crashing one by one :/ so i think its a virus and im scanning my pc atm :/ ..

what OS are you running steam games on? post your current hardware configuration as well.

my OS is Vista Home premium SP 1, rating 5.9 , AMD Phenom 9650 Quad Core processor 2.30 GHz, 7gb ram, 64 bit system , evga precision gtx 260 968mb graphics card...

when the game crashes.. it semi freezes.. meaning i cant do anything... then the textures screw up.... and then i close the game before anything worse happens

post what you found the problem to be just in case someones else comes across the same error

the problem was sudden strange crashing and/or texture screwing up on games.. and i fixed it with system restore
