I had a feeling this one was coming and now that I've seen it's IMDB page...I'm seething with rage.

So what am I raging about today you might ask: Well it would be over the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake. For me that is it. Hollywood has managed to remake all of the classic horror movie franchises...all of them. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and now A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Go ahead here is the link if you don't believe me: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1179056/

I'm pretty much sick of them by now. I can't stand this kind of crap. I'm a pretty big fan of horror movies and I'm tired of renting Japanese or French horror films to get some originality. Sure you can argue that there have been a few original American horror films to come out...and I agree Drag Me to Hell was refreshing and a great film, but it made no money.

So here is my decree: I beg each and everyone of you NOT to see the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Also tell your friends not to see it. I want to see this spread far and wide across the web. No more damn remakes.

lol Tidus, I thought of you when I saw that Penny Arcade comic but I didn't think you'd put it in your sig. You are full of win!

I'd like to go off topic and vent with my own recent movie rage. BRENDAN FRASER IS NOT SGT. SLAUGHTER NOR WILL HE EVER BE!!!!!

I feel much better. Also, on the original topic, I'm in.

lol, need to go through and edit my rant. Apparently I leave out words when I'm angry.

While I don't really watched horror movies, I'm with you.

The only thing that I ask is that you also don't see Death at a Funeral since it's an American remake of a British movie that was out not even 3 years ago. I don't really think it will match the original which is pretty hilarious.

Oh, hell why did you remind me that they are remaking that. GHAH!!!!!!!!

To further fuel your RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEE?

It angers me that they're even trying to remake it. It's not like the original isn't perfectly understandable once you get past any of the Britishisms (bollocks for example).

im with ya man. remakes=for the fail. i liked the firsts ones the best, not this remake crap.

I agree with you guys for the most part that hollywood has overdone the remakes especially since i have also heard they are also redoing the karate kid, footloose, fame is already set to be released, i mean cmon! sometimes we get a good remake but its hard to make iconic films any better, get a clue hollywood, big budgets do not a great film make.

Hmm...the last decent remake I saw was; Dawn of the Dead, which was actually pretty good. In that it was a reimagining and not a carbon copy of the original.

WHAT?! Why? The movie was great, it doesn't need a remake. The only real reason I see for a remake is if the original was bad.
