I dont think you have to register it do ya? I Believe you just add the cd key to your steam account

but it didnt come with one it downloaded just fine i restared steam and i wnt to lanch the game and it wanted me to buy it

Did you buy it through steam?
Try looking on the receipt for the key. If you bought it in store there should have been a card with the cd's/dvd that had the key code on it.

i would suggest trying it on steam first, but if not the the site that you are trying to load might be under maintenance or something.
