The "Favorite Music" Thread

I just wanted to make a post about music to get to know what people like to listen to during CSS. Basically, you put down your favorite song(s), if any at all, and the person below you rates it. So, if your posting, make sure to rate the song of the person above you.

For example, if i said my favorite song was " Thriller" by michael jackson, the next poster would say theyre favorite song, and say something about thriller, whether you like it or you just hate it.

So. to start it off

My favorite song of all time is Banana Phone, by Raffi. i just love playing it to annoy people. and also, whenever i get freekilled, i just play this song and i laugh it off :O.

I've been listening to a lot of random stuff when playing...
I need to record my scores/music and see if I actually do better. I'm sure that there could be some statistical proof that shows you do better with "so and so music" ...

I love music as much as anyone else, but for me the key to doing well in cs is not to get pumped by listening to music, it's becoming calm, almost meditative, when I achieve this state is when I do the best.

Thanks Silent. And why do you play music while you're playing CS:S? How can you hear footsteps and mics?

If you've got a nice rig setup, it's easy.
I've got a stereo that can be connected to my computer, and my old headset.
I could have music being sent through to my stereo and have counter strike, or any game, going to my headset.

Also, if you're not walking around and hiding and whatnot, footsteps aren't too big of a deal

I usually have my MIC Plugged in and my speakers too.This means my sub-woofer isn't plugged in but its good if your playing Jail,Hear clearly and talk on MIC.

I love music, alsorts really but mainly Dark Drum'n'bass, Breakbeat, Techno, Dubstep, House and Garage < those are the music genres i DJ because thats my other hobbie. I do love a bit of Industrial heavy metal and rock too, my favourite bands are ACDC, linkin park, metallica and Black sabbath. Im not a big fan of all the commercial overrated popular RnB and dance, im not into it.

But when i play CS:S i like to hear the explosions and footsteps coming towards me, i think listening to music would make me get a bit brave and start failing even more than i usually fail.:facewall:
