Seeding, YAY!

Hey guys, as you know during the summer people don't have school, well some might but anyways... Since you may be still wondering how you can help eGO. Well if you guys aren't using your computers it's always good to just seed a server that needs help. As they said in the e orientation last night, it really helps getting you noticed. I think there was a post before about some tips on how to make it much easier to seed if you still wanna surf the web of play some other non-steam games. I have an example of what my desktop looks like when I seed at the bottom. It's really good to seed because it encourages people to join the servers and I'm sure a full server will bring a "" to anyone's face. So do your part and fill up them servers!

Ummm, I dont mean to be a problem...I really don't , but how is this any different than the idle program, other than you're doing it in eGO servers.

Can't we get in a lot of trouble for this?

I mean I've been defending the idlers all night, so I may just be a little wound up...but still...

Rather than use a program to do it, it's using ourselves, it's not for items, it's purely for the benefit of eGO, by keeping our servers moderately populated. Seeders are basically everywhere, anywhere from our TF2 servers, to just people being in vent.

It's not for OUR benefit, it's for the community ultimately.

I don't mind seeding to keep the numbers up, but I do have one thing to say about it. Seeding doesn't help fill servers.

as AJC said, there is already a sticky about how to do this or not - please do not use this thread to debate the legitimacy of seeding...it has already been decided by leadership that there is a proper way to do it.
