Japan to Spend $21,000,000,000 on a Power Plant in Freaking Space!

hunh...wireless energy transfer...through atmospheric ionization...theres a bunch of questions I'd like to ask these guys all of a sudden...like...

what makes them think they wont destabilize the entire o-zone, or, not rip huge holes for much more dangerous forms of energy?

I like there thinking though...laser beams from space.

Why don't they put some of that money to help the homeless and people in need?

I mean, come on, $21 billion?
 
I find it a soft irony that a manicly laughing Mr.Burns is preaching this "Solar" powerred space station to us.
This is the best way to spend $21 I could think of. That, and the japanese life sized Gundam.
