Connection speed issues

Okay, I'm stumped.

I'm using Comcast cable, and for some reason my download speed is around 2456 kbps.

Before I was getting in the 5000 range.

In Ubuntu, I get great speed. After reinstalling Windows alongside the old copy (I didn't want to wipe my old data yet.), the problem was fixed for a few days, then came back.

Everything seems to point to a botnet or some kind of infection, but scans are picking up nothing.

I have tried:

Spybot.
Avira.
Trend Micro RUBotted.
HijackThis.
A-Squared Free.

Any suggestions?

Problem fixed with a wonderful program called Combofix. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Detected some infections in my app data folder and in system32. Now I'm back up to about 4600 kbps.

And now the problem is back. Hooray!

Problem identified. Only Bitdefender was able to tell me I was infected with Win32.Virut.

Hooray!

Now I have to order a second harddrive to back up my data to so I can reformat.
