Hey all, need your advise/suggestion. My dad is looking for a new laptop or netbook. He found a supposedly great Toshiba laptop or netbook (havent searched for it yet), but I need suggestions on possibly great laptops or netbooks. Strictly business purposes only. Reply back w/ your advise/suggestions w/ possible links if available asap. Thanks in advance.

best advice is to shop around, go from everywhere to researching local stores to online stores. don't purchase something with unnecessary specs, specially since you said its strictly for office use...meaning you don't need a gaming laptop blah blah.
probs get one for like 500-600 bucks that will be great for the task at hand.
keep your eye open for mail in rebates and free shipping

well found out that my dads gonna go for a netbook & found a really good netbook off of newegg which we will most likely get (esp due to the fact that it has free shipping & its from ASUS, which gives 10gb of internet storage for free), so i believe well go that route. definitely did alot of research. checked w/ bestbuy & in order to upgrade a netbook (dunno why when its so fast) would cost $51.99 for 2gb memory + $40 for labor when it came to installing memory. well ive installed memory in my old skool gateway (amd single core cpu & 1gb memory), so i know how to install memory on laptops/netbooks now. appreciate the feedback on that.

Yes please give us more details. Some of the EEE PC's are better then others, other have known issues.

An apple labtop/notebook is great for business purposes, also I would suggest those new mini comps that came out not so long ago for great portability. But you don't have to follow my advice.

you mean laptop?

btw unless the asus netbook offer has changed that 10gb is only free for a few months and then you have to start paying for it.
