The CSGO Jailbreak Mapping Contest 2022 has concluded and judges have submitted their scores so it's time to announce the winners!

Panopticon II by TaskMaster97 aka @p1geon
While this maps design seems to have not been finished in time for the deadline, the judges saw a lot of potential in it. They praised the interesting layout of cells as well as the design that had been implemented so far. They did raise some concerns over balance, noting several cramped spots that brought the CTs in close contact with the Ts. They also mentioned that while there was a good spread of games to play, some proved too hard for the average player.

This two levelled winter map gave the judges plenty to explore, although they did wish they had a minimap to help them out with that. The games provided lots of options but the judges felt a few needed tweaking, for example an increasing speed on Simon Says and Colors. One judge also pointed out the bounding box of the helicopter causing issues when a lot of people were on the map.

Shiver impressed the judges with it's well implemented and complete theme. While the theme is not that unique, the night element of it helps it stand out quite a bit more. The minigames were mostly well implemented and specific praise was pointed to the bumper cars and spleef games as well as the new implementation of colors, although it can end up too lethal for Ts at times. Also pointed out was the large distance between the armory and the cells, potentially making it hard for CTs. Despite that, the judges firmly put this into second place!

This map really wowed all the judges with it's elaborate and expertly executed design. There are plenty of secrets for the Ts to try explore but also strong defensive positions for the CTs. The minigames were well implemented and provided lots of mixed and fun experiences. A very strong map that is sure to be played on lots of JB servers and fully deserving of first place!
