Homeschool in Ontario

Hello guys, I was just wondering if anyone here in Canada, Ontario is homeschooled or knows anything about homeschooling around here. If you do/are please add me on steam Xandrin3. I have some things I need to ask.

shouldnt check the board of education (assuming you are a parrent) or are you just trying to get your parents to homeschool you?

Only slightly. I was homeschooled as well, but the only reason I have mediocre social skills is because I live on a family farm.

Wow, I hadn't heard this - I'll most likely be the same way, only 4th grade and up.

I get along very well with pretty much everyone in the local schools, and am smarter than most of them (that is, book smart/grades - I'm sure that every one of them has some ways they're better than I am, I don't want to sound like I'm bragging )

I think a lot of people are homeschooled due to bad social skills, not the other way around. Obviously they still need to be around people sometimes though if they want to improve (example: 4-H. Myself and a few other Homeschooled people I know have dramatically improved since joining that.)

My brother and I were originally homeschooled because of the general crap that goes on at pretty much every school, but I don't really hold a grudge against anybody who goes to public schools - I do, however, believe that the world would benefit greatly if more people were allowed to learn at their own pace without distractions, fights, or any other problems like that. (Ok, that sounded kind of cheesy)

The specific incident (pretty much the large weight that broke the camel's back) which led to us being homeschooled was in my brother's freshman year, in which he was actually causing some problems himself but some kid in wrestling completely overreacted and sent my brother to the hospital for a while with a messed up skull and collarbone (not to mention a coma part of the time). That kind of stuff doesn't happen in homes.

I can't tell you how enraged this makes me.

But, as a homeschooler, my social skills are just fine... people usually look at homeschoolers as a sheltered child, that goes out for church, and schooling events. Which is not true. To be honest, I have better social skills than most non-home schooled.
