KoTH vs. ToyFort

Well, now that everyone has finally experienced the wonders and blunders of the "new" KoTH mode, this brings us (or at least me) here at eGO on a verge of a very important question...


Was it worth replacing the awesome ToyFort?


I have to say no. I loved ToyFort. It's one of my favorite maps and I could always go have fun there. It was the one map where you could go slaughter, have fun and enjoy something that isn't as serious as the other eGO servers, but it was still nowhere near a cake walk when people bring in their A-game.

PS: Before anyone with the power thinks I'm just whining about wanting the map have its own server, this is more to find out what people think of the change rather than getting it back, even though I wish for it. =[

So I am asking everyone here in the TF2 which of the two you prefer. There's a handy poll where you can vote for your favorite and if the thread brings in enough traffic to and for ToyFort, we might be able to look into taking the matter higher up and get the beloved map back!

The bit of KOTH I played, it was alright. I think I'm much more a fan of straightforward CP maps. ToyFort was fun, but I don't see the mass appeal it has.

Ehh. Maybe I'll give KOTH another try ^_^

I prefer KOTH to toyfort. I only played toyfort a few times and the few that I did I didn't really like it. Plus - KOTH forces more enfasis on the point rather than the random killing (which don't get me wrong is LOADS of fun) and I like it for that.

I loved toyfort when it was running. It was a map that was perfect to have lots of kills and a active game even if your team was not as good as the other one.

Yep, I'll have to go with this one too. KOTH hardly ever has people on it.

As Phixx as has already stated...we really need to get CP_TOY_FORT_ALT3 on the server list. If you haven't played it, check it out. Its even more fun than the Toy fort elite map. Good times would be had by all.
