...but I saw them first

This should teach 'em one of the rules of eGO servers.

And now to wash people's mouths with soap...

Lol... I love when they camp that spot because it's just so predictable.

Yup, that's how I got 'em.

I heard some gunshots and this one guy collapsed right in front of me, so I just turned around and emptied my M4 all over those guys.

That's not spawn camping... If they were spawn camping y'all all Insurgents would have to surround Marine spawn, enter Marine spawn and just camp shooting them, or fire into spawn for it to be technically be considered spawn camping. That is how I see it, other admins may admin differently than I do though...

Smurf Smurf :P
I've been spawncamped before and you said they were exit camping. To me, it's the same thing. Karam, 1 way out of the spawn i was spawning in, and marines outside(we were trying to cap C, while marines were in the city. I was pissed, i brought it up, and a few people told me they were doing nothing wrong. That's the point i exited the server, and have yet to rejoin. If people are allowed to exit camp, or spawncamp, or be 1/2 a foot away from the line of doing it, and it's allowed, i can't partake.

Exit camping and spawn camping on the DUST2 map are entirely different. On all the other maps they are one in the same to me, but dust is a different sort of gameplay.

Technically, this is not spawn camping. It may be partially exit camping, but they still have two other exits to jump out of. I usually don't bother with this particular issue unless it's severely affecting gameplay. The second they start actually shooting -into- the spawn though, it's different. Then, it's spawn camping.

NADES dear maybe someone from eGO or someone somewhere else has brain washed me, but if an idiot is exit camping then the marine or insurgent should have the sense to use the other exit... I personally think its a 'D' move to do, but I don't know I like to be fair to everyone with admining. Damnit NADES you always make me think of what could be a better way to deal with this... :P I'm going to do some thinking on this one and then I'll get back to you with my decision

Thanks man,

I didn't mean to call you out, serveral eGO were on the server, the map was Karam, and we were ins, with B capp'ed tryign to take C. Obviously, no reasn for marines to be on roofs or in windows IN the city. Also, in karam, as a ins, you only have 1 exit sometimes(maybe i'm wrong, dont play the map alot)

To me, it's basic common sense. If i'm trying to cap C, i'm the ATTACKING team. The DEFENDING team, who are protecting C, have no right to be AT my spawn location, or just outside it, supressing me inside, it's attack and defend, not attack the spawn and abandon the defending.

in KARAM i dont like the marines to be in the city unless we just capped A. especially if insurgents already have B. cause if insurgents have B they spawn on all sies of the village. so correct me if im wrong, but in the village after insurgents cap B, to me is spawn camping

No no NADES I completely agree, in Karam marines aren't allowed IN the city what so ever or they shouldn't...

Good job turning this thread to a spawn/exit camp debate.

Good job.

To me, it has always been spawncamping, because in those games I have played before Ins, there was no real "exitcamping".

But I was mistaken, this was indeed EXITcamping, and I'm sorry and bow to Smurf.

We're good at this kinda stuff aren't we?

here is how i handle it. if you shoot them before they get a certan point past there spawn, its spawn camping. Like dust2 if you shoot them before they get to the ladder out of there spawn(not B side) i consider ir camping. cause that gives them enough time to take a chance on killing you.

Spawn camping, exit camping, who cares? As far as I'm concerned, they are pretty much the same thing.

The way I see it, if you are watching all exits of a team's spawn so they can't get out, I'll ask you to back off, then take further action as necessary.

I agree with Nades. I joined Karam and was promptly shot coming out of spawn, in the city, with a Marine on a roof (something I was totally unprepared for). I made an global message about not being in the city and I politely corrected that it wasn't spawn camping and that being on the rooftops was accepted. I don't agree, but I was corrected by an 'O' so I thanked them and dealt with it.

I am not sure why we allow the Marines into the city on Karam, but on a map like Buhriz we don't allow the Insurgents past the end of the bridge. Seems like a double standard to me just because now the Marines are in the defending position.
