Hay im going to test out TF2 with 5870 's and 3x U2410 monitors. I will post pictures and let everyone know if TF2 and LFD and a few others are REALLY playable on a 3 monitor setup.

Looking forward to seeing what it can do on a few diffrent systems of mine From a top 975 i7 system to a AMD 955 System !

Yeah i can do Crysis. What my main concern is wether the one card can drive all three monitors well enough. We shall see.....Hmmmm.........:closedeyes:
 
I used to know several people who rain 3 monitor setups in Arma, they loved it.
 
damn sick bro..........i don't really think you will be able to run Crysis on the 3 monitors with playable framerates though, especially at max settings.
The 5870 should be good enough, if not just borderline of 60 FPS on 3 monitors?
 
hm... my next build ive been tryin to decide whether to go intel or amd again..

Intel in my opinion.
AMD isn't bad but they're just not as fast as the intel.
Get an i7 920 and overclock it to like 4ghz and you should be good for a while.

Like Pew Pew said The I7 is the best you can get if you can afford it... If not the AMD Phenom II quad cores are not bad either. They are the same stock clocks as the I7s and half the price, they just don't overclock as well. I could be wrong but I have not seen anyone get over 4.0GHz with an AMD CPU.

ive seen plenty of reviews of people who have 4GHz with the new Phenom II's BE
 
The i7 is basically an 8 core CPU due to Hyperthreading which increases the performance for an increase in price. Phenom's are great for people on a budget but an i7 does beat a Phenom II X4 but again price comes into play.

Anyways if this setup works well with a 5870 I might have to get one, the card that is.
 
Hay Guys i just got everything installed and setup tomarrow will be doing tests. That said tho, so far so good ... Im really impressed. I think this will really catch on the way it puts you in the game it's SICK GRRRRR !!!! Asab.......:drool:
 
Im interested as well. Saw a video of some guy who setup 3 monitors (i believe they were all 22"), but still thats interestin. I wonder how many of us are still on 1 monitor? I still am. Besides, 1 monitor is all I need.
 
well AMD showed off like either a 6-screen L4D experience or a 3-screen L4D experience, i don't remember but either way, the surface area of the screens were massive and it was running smooth too.
 
Hay Guys ok I have a few pictures im gonna put up. i just have to say this ROCKS !!! LOL On one card i have played Everything and frame rates are always above 30 Fps most are in high 50 to 80 Fps Crysis is the one in the 30 to 40 Range but remember thats at Gamer Settings so you dont have all eye candy but i never found it bad or that i was missing the extra. TF2 and L4D are all in the 80 to 150 Fps !!! Aion at full Settings 50 Fps. More tests to come stay tuned...On a side note the new Dell U2410 are fantastic there crisp sharp and off axis viewing is spot on Highy Recomended !!!!

I will get pictures up in a bit there ok pictures not great but at least there something.

If any members are in Nj area with a great Cam or video let me know you could come by and shoot good pics and try out the setup.. I really need to buy a good one lol......Asab.................:)

looks great...........NICE 5870 CF SETUP, i thought u were only on a single 5870 but CROSSFIRE DEFINITLY DOMINATES and is SICKK!!!
i hope to get a 5870x2 myself

The TF2 one looks really stretched out but im guessing its not bad when you start playing, it might just be the camers making the angles look strange cuz looking at the middle screen looks fine but the other 2 are kinda stretched a lot. It probably looks real good still.
