o i agree... but there is some really good wireless gaming stuff out there but of course its a bit pricey.. i jsut wanna know everyone elses thots

They just don't make any really good gaming material that is wireless. Also, I have seen wireless keyboard/mice combos lagging. (Always fun to see your character stop moving for a second, then carry out all the actions you slammed into your keyboard in frustration)

Wired is so much better, it's much more realiable.
I have wireless N and I always get crashed on and off the net.

Wireless.........I have no patience for cables, and to be honest I really don't care about response times. I have a $30 bluetooth mouse, and an apple wireless keyboard and they work fine. With internet, wireless is not unreliable its just not as reliable as wired, and I would not die if my CS:S got disconnected. Wireless is just so much easier to balance, I have one apple airport extreme, and 2 airport expresses. All my computers are wireless (Macbook pro, Mac Pro, Windows XP hp notebook. Only things that are wired in my house are my Direct tv boxes, My xbox 360, and my sling player. Actually the xbox and sling player are hooked up to the airport express so they are actually wireless. All my cameras, and my home automation system are also wireless. Both my mouse, and keyboard are rechargeable via mini usb.

The only good wireless thing is a mouse. Keyboards should stay wired. And i can't handle the tangled mess wires make....but wireless needs either batteries or a plugin......i think wireless wins IMO

it's not so much that I notice any kind of performance difference between wired and wireless, it's just that wireless stuff always runs out of batteries at the WORST possible time.

I couldn't survive without my G15v1 and gigabit LAN connection . I use a wired mouse (G5), the wireless mice that I've tried in the past definitely have not been up to snuff for gaming.

Are you talking internet or things like keyboards/mice, etc?

In the case of internet: Wireless internet sucks royal. Even with a "GREAT" wireless G access point, games get lag spikes and nothing downloads or runs nearly as fast. Wired is 10,000 times better than wireless 'net.

In the case of devices/controllers/etc: I use a wireless mouse, and I like my wireless controller for my 360, but otherwise I stick with wires. I also don't care for wireless headphones, I'm glad that my wireless headphones have a jack so I can still use a wire. I like my wireless mouse, it actually works perfect, doesn't need a stupid pad, and has lasted on the same battery for a year and a half now. I still have a wired keyboard and I intend to keep it that way, I just don't see the point in replacing something that ain't broken right now. I got a wireless mouse because they kept breaking or losing the ball whenever a cat would trip on the wire and knock it down (Read: Every day.) and I spent a fortune on mice, and every laser mouse with a wire I bought sucked. Especially if it was Logitech. Then I found a 29$ wireless laser mouse and its stuck with me through and through since, no cats ever knock it down since it has no wire and there's no ball to worry about, and I don't need to use those annoying floppy mouse pads that barely fit on my desk in the first place.

I use wired internet for my desktop and wireless for my laptop. I have a D-link DGL 4500 gaming router so i dont get the bad lag spikes as other people on my laptop and my download speed stays about the same. As for mice and keyboard I use wireless.

Wired for me is about 50% quicker.. wireless mouses are to buggy for me....same with keyboards...
(maybe it's because I have 1 gigabit switches) lol

It would be a big pain to have the internet on my desktop be wired. I live in an apartment, so just living with some random lag spikes is way better than taking the time and money to wire up the desktop.

I used to be wired when I first started gaming, and all I ran into was problems, and more problems. Now I'm wired in. Lovin it. 8)
