Half of the stuff there is not even on eGO servers, and a normal comment there is that everyone is 12 years old, people claiming to get banned for hacks and just one remark while they fact is that they got banned after multiple warnings yet not taken seriously and are going to make a huge deal out of it... some just get what they deserve, if you want to be a punk without responsibilties, go to other servers, if you want to have fun in a clean envoirment, go to eGO

Indeed. We really have no way to prevent what they say over there, and there's no real reason to get riled up over it either. I say ignore them and let's enjoy the community that we have here.

One thing is for sure, they lie a lot in that forum. "I got banned for killing an admin." When one of us eGO bans someone, we have to supply a condump, with proof the ban was legit. So it is not like we can ban people for no reason at all, or reasons that are personal... leadership reads that *proof* when , and if the person contests it, and then makes a decision on the ban stays or is lifted. Leadership does not like it when anyone bans for no reason, and prolly would demote the admin for it...

Do not believe what you hear on forums...ever.

Haha wow... I never really go to public forums due to threads like that, but man it is funny to read it. I can't believe how many people are saying they were banned for being "too good".

But honestly, after reading through there, there are as many random people saying that they actually liked our servers/players as there are people saying they were banned for being too good (lulz). And I saw one guy saying that he was banned for having an inappropriate spray. Funny thing about the spray is no one really acknowledged his post. I guess it wasn't negative enough

Yeah, it is a bit suspect when I've been on eGO servers for almost a year now and I've never seen a kick/ban for someone who wasn't actively trying to get one or openly disobeying the rules. I mean it's really not that difficult to read the rules and follow them, especially when they're sensible rules. I mean sure there are a few bad eggs, but they're dealt with as soon as they come up.

People like to use scapegoats to vent their anger on. Unfortunately when a few trolls go out there and spread fantastical tales of betrayal and how they're just an innocent victim to the horrible admins who rule from there ivory towers, people tend to listen and it spreads.

Best to just ignore it.

I play quite a bit on other servers, and I've been getting much more positive feedback about EGO than negative feedback. Know that even though trolls persist, there are other players who respect what the EGO leadership has created here.

@The people say that eGO people ban pubs for "owning" them: Never even heard of one incident of that happening in my year of gaming in eGO. We honestly have some of the best admins out there, and there are worse servers than what they've slandered about eGO.

Also, @ people on the forums flattering themselves by saying they're "skillful" - you're not skilled. Get good, and if you were really hacking and were just defending yourself: get rid of the hacks, and get some skills. Bet you most of them are scrubs.

How do I know this? Well, I've seen people talk trash about eGO on non-eGO servers while on a different, tagless name. Not only they're bad (because I absolutely owned them in-game enough for them to call me a hacker and then started a vote-ban), they are probably sheep just jumping on the bandwagon!

People are stupid.

I know exactly what you mean, I got kicked from one of the [LUE] servers for wearing the =e= tag. That's why I mainly play on eGO servers any more unless I want to play on Warpath.

I have been seeing this a lot recently. eGO being criticized and raged about is not really new. It is upsetting i have seen some server admins kick/banned in less then a minute because of the tag. I have been banned from some servers because of not my eGO tag but my other tags. (Which im not sure if i can discuss them here someone correct me if im wrong.) But it is upsetting to a long time player and member of the gaming community as a whole. If eGO was a clan that practiced elitism in its worse form and called everyone else inferior then i could see the problem but as it stands i see nothing wrong.

If you need a server to play on while waiting to get on one of ours, I've found the SourceOP servers to be eGO friendly. I play there all the time and nobody talks trash about eGO. Many players there also play on our servers. Just don't expect them to abide by the same standards we do.

I have a couple servers that wont mind people joining from eGO. They are mostly the same except on a couple points.

Honestly, I've only been insulted for being an eGO member once, and I didn't even respond to the guy's comment (he called me a colorful name used for homosexuals >.>). Best thing to do is ignore it and be the bigger man.

I will say this, eGO is very different from the way people behave on the Internet. Not saying that's bad...hell, that's why I decided to join up...but anonymity gets the worst of people and turns what I'm sure are decent people into mindless trolls.

Interestingly enough, they gravitate towards the Steam forums which, thanks A WHOLE LOT AdmiralVonBentebent, I was doing so well with staying away from those forums
