Is that the clue to my problem? Plz someone help me!

Since last TF2 update, I only been able to play 1 times out of maybe 60 try to play. Each time I open my computer, first thing I do is open Steam, chat with some of my friends and then I jump for a TF2.

But since the last update, each time I go in TF2, each time it's the same story. It can't find any server cause it say that steam isn't connected. But in fact Steam is connected and online!

In the console when I go in TF2 at startup I found this;


Steam config directory: c:\program files\steam\steamapps\crasher456\team fortress 2\platform\config
ConVarRef cl_forwardspeed doesn't point to an existing ConVar

Could this be the thing that messed up my game! I writted to valve, submited bug report and never had an answer. I'm really desperated now!

I dunno what to do to just play a single game!

Not sure if this will help at all, but you can always try it while waiting for someone knowledgeable to respond.

Right click on TF2 in your Steam Games list.

Select Properties.

Click the tab marked Local Files.

Click Verify Integrity of game cache.

Not sure that it'll fix your problem, but if something went weird with your update, it just might. Can't hurt to try while waiting, as I said.

DOD:S is going the same.
CS:S seem to work fine. If i delete TF2 and DOD:S and reinstall, will I lost all my achivement and my item in TF2 ?

Nope, your achievements and items are account bound, meaning they are stored on your account and not your pc.

If it can't find servers, try checking your firewalls, mine did the same. Blocked outbound access to hl2.exe after the update.

Thank you! I use F-Secure as my anti-virus and as you said my firewall was the problem.
