What servers do you play on? There are a ton of good guys on mesa and plmaps. Imo, when you join a server say hi to everyone and when you leave say goodbye to everyone. Try just to have fun with everyone and crack jokes and get some kills and sit back and relax. This game is meant to be fun, getting noticed comes later than most think. Visit the forums alot and start new threads and slowly you will begin to get noticed, the more you join the same server the more people will begin to recognize you. It takes a while to get noticed trust me, but the more you stay committed to doing something the more people will begin to notice. Try that for a while and see what happens. Ill see you on our servers, but dont worry if you cant see me ;).

Strangely enough I am the only insane player in there and I am not really sure how I manage to stay insane in such a nice place. Seems as though this thread has gotten you quite noticed.
This is a perfect example of how many people are actually on the forums.
Great way to get noticed is not in-game, but in the forums.
 
What ever you do Don't go to BlackMesa. Its a really really bad map. *waits for the flaming to begin*
Come to the Turbine (aka Turtlebine) or PL maps. Those are currently our best servers imo.

if this is a way to complain about not being promoted, or as you say, "noticed" - that's a good way of not getting promoted (this goes to all e's, eG's)

- promotions do not happen overnight, many people wait a long time to receive their promotions, complaining on the forums and acting emo about not being noticed is a good way to turn many people off -

lucky for you there are many people in eGO much nicer than me, but as far as I'm concerned, if you are that upset and considering leaving divisions, go for it, won't hurt my feelings

This isn't about getting promoted Opeth. In fact, I can care less if I get promoted. Getting a promotion is in the back of my brain. And did I ever mention getting a promotion? NO I didn't. This whole thread was about me saying how I don't feel noticed. I only have a few friends here. I talk to a lot of members but don't know they well enough to be friends. And yes, there are many people nicer than you xD

Also, Blackmesa is chaos. I get lose in there xD

"noticed" and "promoted" I imply as the same thing around here, you can sugar coat it all you want and say what you said and didn't say, it's called reading between the lines - No, you didnt use the word promotion. But the tone of your OP and its wording would lead one to believe you would like to have more influence around here with a statement like "I just feel like the bone of the steak or the bottom of a muffin."

theres plenty of members who aren't as "noticed" as you are , seeing as you started a scrim team and etc. - you're actually fairly well known for someone who's only been here a month, moreso than any other e who's only been here only a month, so you could argue you are in fact more "noticed" than any of them -

If making friends and being noticed are something you are genuinely concerned about, this should help

Ventrilo is a FANTASTIC place to get noticed. And Blackmesa is a terrible place to get noticed, PL Maps is the fun zone.

Also, closing this thread. There's a sufficient amount of response here, and I think this may get out of control.
