Hey guys my mouse is seeming like its about to go soon so I was wondering what Mouse you think is good for gaming and every day use. I have no budget really.

Razer Krait Gaming Mouse

* 1600DPI Razer Precision™ infrared sensor
* Three independently programmable Hyperesponse™ buttons
* Ultra-large non-slip buttons
* Ergonomic ambidextrous design
40 bucks

I have a Logitech mx518, I'm pretty happy with it. I would've gotten a G9 had I possessed the money.

I would get the Logitech G500. It is almost identical to the MX518 in shape, but is updated with better features. I have it and i love it. I've used razer stuff and i dont really like it.

My brother has a Razer mouse.
It's okay. A lot better than what I have, but I haven't used any other mice, so I couldn't really say.

Any Razer mouse is acceptable. I have used a Razer Copperhead for the LONGEST time (about 5 years) and it only recently broke down from I guess time. And yet, it still has not truly broken down. Its primary clicker sometimes needs to be clicked real hard in order for it to work, while the secondary fire sometimes gets stuck on autofire. But beyond that, the side buttons and the lazer work perfectly. So in reality it is not broken, it has just gained a personality.

In an attempt to see what else is good, I bought a Wolf King (Trooper) mouse. It seems good. Just like the Razer mouse I had it has settings for sensitivity. I also found this out by mistake but it also has a function that makes the mouse wheel change color and gain autofire.

So in conclusion, I believe if you go to an electronics store and look for mouses that claim to be "gamer mouses", those are good. They will cost you a pretty penny but they have good capabilities for playing games. However, I can say that Razer is probably the better mouse company.

Protip: Buy a mouse that has variable sensitivity. If you do this, set your windows sensitivity to max and the mouse sensitivity to max. Find a value of in-game sensitivity that works for you. And if you need to do more precise operations (such as sniping) you can lower your sensitivity (on the mouse) for a little while to get those accurate headshots. But do not forget to reset the sensitivity to max for when you continue.

I put my vote in for a Steelseries Xai, I have had mine for a while now and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. I never thought a mouse would improve my game as much as it has.

You can't go wrong with Logitech equipment. I prefere all types of wireless Logitech mouses.

it depends first and foremost on how you hold your mouse. if you tend to use your whole hand to grip the mouse like a large ball (palm grip) then a good choice would be a logitech g500, razer deathadder or steelseries xai. if you prefer to hold the mouse with your fingers curled onto the buttons (claw grip) then a better choice would be a razer imperator or diamondback, or a logitech g9. if you just hold the mouse with the tips of your fingers like I do, then I'd recommend the steelseries kinzu or the razer salmosa.

another thing to note is how your sensitivity is tuned. if you play very high sensitivity, so that a small movement will cause your mouse to move very far, then high DPI sensors are worth investing. if you move your mouse longer distances, then the sensor resolution is not as important. personally I find 1800DPI to be comfortable for everyday browsing as well as gaming but that's just me.

if you end up getting a smaller mouse for a fingertip style grip, note that you likely won't be able to find one with a lot of buttons.

having just bought a new mouse recently (steelseries kinzu) these are the primary factors I looked at. just thought I'd share my experience.

G9 @ bestbuy.com on clearance for $39.99 . This is not the G9x... just a few extra DPI .

I recomend simply going to a BestBuy store, going to their gaming section (PC) and sitting around testing all the mouses they have. All the mouses that have been refeered here can be tested at the store; besides Razor (more expensive mouses are kept locked).

Hope you find the right mouse for your gaming needs :)

death adders are great, but many many ppl have complains as it stops functioning.

I am using a G5 Logitech, and I love it :D
