Alright folks, the time for the TF2 league is nigh, and team sign ups are coming shortly. So, I'm making a team. But not just ANY team... It's Team DreadNought.*
I know what you're out there thinking. I can read your mind. You're thinking "Dread, I want to join a team for the tf2 league because it sounds like fun! The problem is, I've never done competitively tf2, and I think I probably suck!"
You want to join a team, but you don't know anything about competitive tf2? that's great! I've done a good deal of competitive play, and I'm NOT looking for people who are 'the best of the best'. I'm looking for enthusiastic team players who are willing to learn.
One of the first things you learn in competitive tf2 is that communication is absolutely key, and I've certainly seen mediocre players that communicate well take out awesome players who don't care about the team. This team is all about teamwork.
I will be taking the role of the team medic. While those who know me know I rarely play medic on eGO servers, it's all I play competitively.
So, What are we looking for? Any position below that is bolded, we need.
Team Roster:
1. Pocket Soldier: Whisker Biscuit
2. Roaming Soldier: Iratedonnie
3. Demoman: Shadohunter
4. Scout/Utility: [Typhus]
5. Scout/Utility: naku_vamp
6. Medic: Dreadmaker
PLUS, 3 reserve players. The reservists can be any of the above classes, although at least one medic and one soldier is preferred.
Reservist 1: KhaoticOrd3r
Reservist 2: Watersnake
Reservist 3:
In terms of Geographic location, while it isn't fully necessary, because my flaky internet is usually the most reliable in the evening, players from North America will be given preference. Also, most practices will likely be in the evenings.
As far as practices go, we will have them occasionally. You can't learn to work as a team if you don't know your teammates and how they work best.
So, are you interested in learning about TF2 competition? Are you interested in having a good time? Are you interested in winning this TF2 league? Then either post in this thread, or send me a PM.
Looking forward to killing with you!
*Note on the name: a Dreadnought is actually a number of things. Firstly, and most recognizably, it was a very prominent ship in 20th century naval combat. It's also a type of guitar. It's also the name of a ship in EVE online. It's also the name of a ship in Final Fantasy II.
More important than all of those, however, it has 'dread' in it, and last I checked, making 'dread' was my job. Hence, DreadNought.
HEY YOU!
YES, YOU!
YES, YOU!
